How often do I need lessons?

      The short answer? It depends.

When you take in-person lessons, you’ll dive into a world of vocal discovery tailored to your unique voice. From day one, we’ll work on singing with less wasted effort, which is the key to unlocking your voice’s full potential. As you practice efficient breathing, you’ll find yourself holding notes longer and singing with more ease. I’ll guide you through exercises that build helpful habits step by step based on your specific needs. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you progress when you’re not fighting against your own technique!

If your posture is getting in the way of your sound, I’ll let you know, and you can check it in the mirror. One of the coolest parts? I’ll demonstrate what you’re really sounding like. It’s super helpful because it might be different from what you hear in your head when you sing. As we work together, you’ll start to understand how your voice really works. You’ll gain the power to make adjustments on your own and keep improving between lessons.

Remember, we’re not chasing fleeting sensations; we’re building solid habits that consistently give you the results you want. And don’t worry if you face some singing challenges or obstacles now. We’ll work through them together, at your pace, with lots of room for curiosity and trying new things.

Opting for online lessons means bringing all these benefits right into your home. You’ll still get the complete experience of discovering your voice and building efficient singing habits. The best part? You can record every lesson. It’s like having an extra session whenever you want – just replay the recording and practice along!

We’ll spend time singing a cappella (that’s without background music), which might seem challenging at first. But stick with it because this practice is invaluable for training your ear. Soon, you’ll be able to hear songs accurately in your head and sing them spot-on. Your ability to stay in tune when singing with music will improve dramatically.

Online lessons fit perfectly into a busy life. You can schedule them at times that work for you and learn in a place where you feel comfortable. Many students find they relax more and make faster progress in familiar surroundings. Screen sharing is a useful tool we’ll use during our online sessions.

Whether you choose in-person or online lessons, you’re embarking on an exciting journey. You’ll build the habits that transform your singing, one lesson at a time. Get ready to amaze yourself with what your voice can do!
